Canyon de Chelly: Mummy Cave

Mummy Cave, one of the larger settlements in Canyon de Chelly, was inhabited until the 1300s. The central tower complex was constructed by people from Mesa Verde in the 1280s. Ruins are located on both sides of the central complex further under the cliff. A close-up view of the ruins in the alcove on our left.
